Vacuum pump for automatic chemo drip took much longer than we had expected to complete. Only after when it was completed, three other drips could be applied via the tube embedded in the right arm vein.
Nurses had tried other veins, but they were used too frequent too much and became poor. Danni felt better today, although the drips in the evening made her felt sick again (ironically one of the culprits we thought maybe the one helps to control vomiting).
Mei, Danni’ old mate while in course 1 treatment came with good news. Mei was in a similar situation like Danni. She was diagnosis NPC when still in breast-feeding. Her young daughter was then four months young. Now she was in radiotherapy week four treatment.
Physician checked her interim scan report and satisfied with the result and considered reducing her radiotherapy for one week. No doubt a week save is a week less pain. Radiotherapy damages not only caner cells, normal cells, tissues around it but also burns skin. We have seemed many a patient has a charred neck. Many had developed to large area skin ulcer. It would get more difficult to bear the rash and itching as summer is here. A week save is a very good news.
Mei happily dashed off to confirm the news with Dr. Li. This is a boost to morale to Danni. It felt that the winding road could indeed be shortened.
We had thought to move back to the ward Danni used before. So she would stay with ‘old’ mates. However, new mates in this ward over heard our conversation and persuaded us to stay with them. Ok, we stay then.

she is pretty, isn't she?
Danni probably will start radiotherapy next week. I think this is because her body reacts to first course well and her doctor is optimistic about it. We are waiting for Friday's blood test result.
