earthquake appeal

No, it wasn't the quake.

This was just a shot I took near the hospital, where they were demolishing the half of the metal workshops bazaar.

But it could just be us under the rubble there. Now how is that sound?

So far the official death toll count had been mounted to over 19 thousand while official estimated figure was over 50k,
at the time of re-editing this at (15/05/2008 17 BST), expecting the number would raise a lot more since the blockage to epicentres was just barely opened up yesterday (48 hours). Rescue teams were arrived via parachute, speedboats, and even foot.

Number is very abstract, but each number has a family behind it. Many children had lost their families. Many families had lost their children. Other families, they just erased completely.

After quake was still happening frequently in the area. So far over 3000 times of 4 magnitude quakes have been recorded. Last night saw a few over 6 quakes sent more buildings to collapsed in Wenchuan and Beichuan.

Wenchuan is a very beautiful mountainous area, home to endangered giant panda. The conservation and breeding centre is in Wolong, the centre of epicentre. Luckily from the news we knew all were safe, with their conservationists.

In 2006 we had our honey moon here, here are some links if you are interested.
